About us

Our mission is to bring the truth of Jesus Christ to the world. We do this through evangelism, discipleship, and church planting:

Evangelism: Reaching people with the saving message of Jesus Christ.

Discipleship: Equipping believers to grow, live for God, and serve in His kingdom.

Church Planting: Establishing churches that raise disciples and reach nations, cities, towns, and villages with the Gospel.

The Christian Fellowship Church in Botswana is part of Christian Fellowship Ministries, a worldwide fellowship that began in Prescott, Arizona, USA, during the Jesus People movement of the early 1970s. Today, this fellowship has planted thousands of churches in more than 100 nations, with a strong focus on evangelism, discipleship, and church planting.

The church was registered in Botswana in 2005 by Pastor Isaac and Phylis Madzivire from Zimbabwe.

The church in Broadhurst was planted in 2006 by the Prescott Church and pioneered by Pastor Jack and Jan Miller, followed by Pastor Sizwe Malema and Tumi Malema from South Africa.

In 2017, the church was nationalized, and the Maloiso family continues to pastor the church today. What began with missionaries faithfully laboring in the field has grown into a network of churches committed to reaching Botswana with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Today, there are sister and branch churches across the nation, including a sister church in Francistown (Main) and Gerald Estates, as well as works in Mogoditshane, Block 5, Selebi Phikwe, Palapye, and Tlokweng.

In 2026, we celebrate 20 years of the Christian Fellowship Church in Botswana, continuing the mission of reaching people with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

Salvation:
  • Salvation is initiated by a prayer of faith in Jesus.

  • Water Baptism is not necessary to be saved, but is definitely an important Christian experience not to be ignored.

  • Water Baptism is a public demonstration of faith in Jesus Christ.

  • Water Baptism is executed in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost

Holy Spirit Baptism:
  • Holy Spirit Baptism is evidenced by speaking in tongues. (Acts 2:4; Acts 10:45–46)

  • Holy Spirit Baptism is an experience different and distinct from Salvation or Water Baptism. (Acts 1:5; Acts 10:44)
